life-threatening experience

- Vehicle fatality
- Witness to injury or fatal accident
- Explosion, fire or other
on-site workplace disaster
- Natural disaster
Trauma Response Services include
- Critical Incident
Stress Defusings and Critical Incident Stress Debriefings. Each follow a
prescribed intervention model (Mitchell & Everly) proven to be effective in accelerating
the process of recovery from a traumatizing event. It is commonly utilized by
emergency service organizations - police, fire, emergency medical services, ER
and ICU nurses, and disaster response personnel.
These services are now available

Training Programs
Acute Traumatic Stress
Management (ATSM) - Acute Traumatic Stress Management is a crisis
intervention protocol developed for all emergency responders (police, fire,
emergency medical, school personnel, corporate medical/cisis teams, etc.).
It is designed to prepare emergency responders to address the emergent
psychological needs of individuals exposed to traumatic events and help
prevent acute traumatic stress reactions from becoming chronic stress
disorders. (One-day program)
Crisis Management: A Human Resource
Perspective -
Human resource
professionals must be prepared to lead their organizations through periods
of crisis. This workshop focuses on comprehensive pre-incident preparation
in such areas as employee relations, trauma response, and community
relations as the key to effective crisis management and the recovery
(individual employee and organizational) process. (One-day program)
Critical Incident Stress Management
(CISM) -
Critical Incident Stress Management is a comprehensive crisis response
program (to natural and man-made disasters, acts of violence, terrorism,
etc.) based on the Mitchell and Everly model. The program is designed to
reduce the frequency, duration, severity of and impairment from
psychological crises. This workshop covers each of the seven components of
this integrated, intervention system including Critical Incident Stress
Debriefings. (Two-day program)
Finally, though our
national affiliation, we can provide CISM services at any of your locations throughout the United States.
Dr. Willis has
completed extensive training in Critical Incident Stress Management (including
Basic CISM,
Advanced CISM, and the Assaulted Staff Action Program - ASAP) sponsored by the International
