America's Career Kit - This is the best the US Department of Labor has to offer the job seeker and offers a one-stop World Wide Web based system. It has comprehensive information to assist in career exploration, salary and labor market research, education planning, and job searches. 

America's Career Kit consists of four components:

  • America's Career Information Network - is an Internet-based World Wide Web occupational information system that provides the following: occupational requirements, labor market and industry trends at the national/state/local levels, wage and salary, education and training, an employer database, and more.
  • America's Learning Exchange - is an Internet-based World Wide Web conduit for information about education and training information.
  • America's Job Bank -  is the largest electronic listing of jobs in the world with as many as 1,00,000 job postings.
  • America's Talent Bank - is a nationwide database  of electronic resumes that can be searched by employers.

Occupational Information Network Resource Center (O*Net) - The US DOL updated and replaced the Dictionary of Occupational Titles with O*NET, the Occupational Information Network. O*NET is a database of 1,100+ occupations and includes information for each occupation's knowledge, skills, abilities, interests, work values. instruction programs, generalized work activities, occupation-specific tasks, employment outlook, and annual earnings. Best of all, O*NET's entire database and viewer can be downloaded for free through the O*NET web site or US Government Printing Office.

Bureau of Labor Statistics - Office of Employment Projections - Extensive data in downloadable files relating to employment outlook.

CareerZone - Developed by the NYS Department of Labor utilizing the O*NET database, job seekers can get job descriptions, educational and skill requirements, and current wage and labor market projections for 1100+ occupations.

Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) - The Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) program produces employment and wage estimates for over 700 occupations. These are estimates of the number of people employed in certain occupations, and estimates of the wages paid to them. Self-employed persons are not included in the estimates. These estimates are available for the nation as a whole, for individual States, and for metropolitan areas; national occupational estimates for specific industries are also available
